Tems, a well-known singer and composer from Nigeria, has detailed her difficult beginning and how she overcame obstacles.
She recently said in an interview with a well-known kid broadcaster that the beginning of her career was difficult since no one wanted to make songs for her.
This inspired her to start her own music production company, which she did after learning about it on YouTube.
She described it thus way:
“No one wanted to produce for me back then and so I said I can do this myself, and it made me create my sound”
Tems just broke through to a new level, defeating the industry legends in her category to become the first female Afrobeat artist from Nigeria to win a Grammy.
