Despite achieving renown 20 years ago, Toyin Abraham said, “I became a billionaire 5 years ago.”

Toyin Abraham, a well-known actress from Nigeria, recently admitted that, after enjoying stardom for more than 20 years, she just became a billionaire six years ago.

She revealed this in a recent appearance with TVC’s breakfast program “Your View,” when she disclosed that she had battled in poverty for more than 20 years despite having achieved recognition.

She asserted that she had been constrained by the perception that people have of great icons, noting that the majority of those who have achieved popularity are financially precarious.

She said that despite being renowned, she had dined in poverty for over 20 years to support her allegation.

She spoke;

“I started making money maybe five or six years ago. I became a millionaire about six years ago, all these years that you people knew me, I wasn’t wealthy, fame is different from riches, you people always mix it up,”
